WALKATHON '09

Dear all,

I am Boon Hoe from Leo club of Monash University.
We are having a Walkathon to raise fund for adopting trees.
The details are as follow;

Theme: Walk for a Greener Tomorrow
Date: 4th October 2009 (Sunday)
Time: 7 am to 12 pm
Venue: Monash University Bandar Sunway

Participation fees is RM 15.
Participant will get a t-shirt, goodies bag, certificate of participation and lucky draw.
Please collect your t-shirt in advance on 24th September or 25th September at Monash.
You may collect on that day of the walkathon as well but you are required to wear it for throughout the whole event.

Attached is our proposal,participation form, poster and banner.
We would like to ask for your help to promote this event throughout your club and your school or university.
Just spread the word around and hopefully you guys can print out the poster to stick on to your notice board maybe?
Please bring along your friends, family, boy/girlfriends and bla bla (you get my point xD) as long as they are healty to walk for the walkathon.

LEO CLUB OF SMK USJ 4
5th INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING DAY

As all of you know, we had our 5th International Day(IU Day) on the 18th of july '09. We are sorry for taking so long to update on it as we've been very busy with school as such.

With the theme ITALIAN ESCAPADE our IU Day was a success as we got a not-so-bad respose from the Leo members and non Leo members too. Everything didn't exactly went smoothly throughout the first half. But we all know that no event goes smoothly with no flaws at all. The second half wasn't so bad after all as the crowd were a little bit more sporting after refreshments.

The day ended with a hald an hour open dancefloor.

In the end, the most important thing is that the the organising committee understood each other better in all aspects. This is where we all put our differences aside and work together, join hand-in-hand.

Putting up the 28 feet banner wasn't that hard after all. Okay, that's a lie. It was hard.
Not so hard, but still, it wasn't all easy.

Heard of American Idol? Who cares!?!? Here’s something bigger and better;

That’s right,

LEO IDOL IS BACK!!!

We are glad to inform you that the Leo Club(s) of Region 4 will be holding our annual Leo Idol competition. Leo Idol is a singing competition intended to discover young and raw talent from across the region. Open to all Leo members of region 4, here’s your chance to hit that dog-whistle high note, shatter a couple of glasses, and win over some groupies while you’re at it!

We would also like to enlighten you on the main cause of organizing such a project, which is our support for the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia (NKF). Proceeds and sponsors in support of this project will go to the NKF in an attempt to subsidies dialysis treatment and improve its facilities.

The Details of the auditions are as follow:
Date : 21st February 2009
Time : 10am - 3pm
Venue : SMK Subang Utama (SS18)

o Participants are required to prepare a song either in English, Malay or Chinese. ( A capella ).
o Each participant is given a limited time of 3 minutes to impress the judges.
o Participants are also required to prepare 2 songs (in minus one format) for the finals.
