Farewell Party!

On the 12th of July 2008, Leo Club of SMK USJ 4 has organized a farewell party for the outgoing board of director year 2007/2008 and also Puan Lim. The venue for this project is at Secret Recipe, Taipan. The event was emcee by Leo Manveer Singh and Leo Ellisa Yasmine. We invited all the previous board of directors, Lion Andy, teacher advisors and teacher to attend this party.

Approximate 2.00pm, most of the BODs have already arrived at Secret Recipe. All the ougoing BODs wore formal club uniform as that will be their last time to wear it. We work together to arrange the tables, awards, ticket and the list goes on. Ushers will be busy inviting the guests while the ticketing and registration were collecting prizes and prepare the numbers for the lucky draw.

Miss Foo, Puan Shanti, Puan Lim, and our ex presidents Sam Lee, William Lee, Kent Lee and Amelia Ho arrived. Due to some error and mistakes, Lion Andy was not invited formally. This event started with Leo Pledge and Leo Song. Then, our emcee introduced the guests, and the incoming BOD year 2008/2009. We moved on to the next activity which is speech given by the outgoing President, Leo Pang Rhae Yaenn. She invited the outgoing BODs to stand out and gave a bow. The incoming President, Leo Lam Ai Ping gave us a speech too and followed by the honor guests gave a meaningful speech to us on the experiences and benefits when they were in Leo Club. Later on, it was the cake-cutting session. It was a Chocolate Banana cake prepared by Secret Recipe. Award presentation was the next activity.

Later, we played games with members as to add some fun in this party. First game we played was line charade. We all have a lot of fun and laughter. First round was all the members; second round was a member, ex Presidents, teacher advisors and a teacher; third round was the new inductees and the last round was the incoming BODs. After the first round of the game, we all sat back at our place where the food had already been prepared and served. Brownies, cakes and spring roll were prepared in the buffet session. Members enjoyed their meal with ice lemon tea. Thanks to Secret Recipe for the wonderful meal. All of the Leos had fun taking pictures among each other and the teachers too. Time for our second round of the game. It was a watermelon eating competition. This game was a group game. Therefore, all winning group members will receive a prize. Then all the incoming BODs sang Auld Lang Syne. At last the photo-taking session was next. All the outgoing and incoming BODs and teachers took group pictures as the memory of this event.

At 6.00pm, everyone was out of the Secret Recipe, with so much food left, some of us shared out and took back home. Even though this was a tiring party, yet we feel very happy and entertained as all of us get to know each other better and learn how to work as a team to make this party a success.

Friendship Day Sale <3

Friendship Day Sale was held last Wednesday and I am proud to say it was a success~!
Even though some of us did not have much experience, it still turned out well ^^

We sold BFF Brownies with ice-cream and choc sauce, Stay Gold (Chocolate) Roses, Forever Friends Batik Bar, Count-on-me Chocolate Cake, F.R.I.E.N.D.S Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Me Apple, You Spice Apple Turn-over Cake.

The Leos involved were:

Organizing Chairperson : Leo Aqilah Naqlis
Asst. Organizing Chairperson : Leo Ellisa Yasmine
Treasurer : Leo Nor Juliana
Photographers : Leo Lam Ai Ping & Leo Nor Juliana
Posters : Leo Nor Juliana & Leo Aqilah Naqlis
Sales : Leo Brandon Lee, Leo Manveer, Leo Chin Guo Yao & Leo Victor Pang
Food : Leo Aqilah Naqlis

At the end of the day, we made RM 502!

Not bad since we only had the chance to sell during recess hours-- that's around 80 minutes!

So, we hope that with this additional money we collected, we could organize more charity projects for the betterment of our community! ;)

Here are some (a lot!) pictures to show how the Friendship Day Sale was that day:

*credits to Nor Juliana and Nor Jaslena for the adorable posters!

Friendship Day is usually celebrated during the first week of August, but since we've got our August calendar packed with more fun activities, why not celebrate it a month earlier? :D Besides, there shouldn't be a specific day to show your appreciation to your friends.

I guess everyday should be Friendship Day? haha

We've got so many sweet stuff in line :F I'm drooling myself

Chocolates, cookies, brownies, ice-cream, and even KHEFMA dolls (jsyk, they are balloon stuffed with compact flour so you can squish 'em and mold 'em. The fun part is they come in various cute colours and facial expressions! So you can either get one that matches your friend's personality or just get one for yourself :D woot!)

Can't wait can't wait can't wait!
Come tau!

Love, Aqilah

PS Here are some links for you just to get in the mood!
Have Fun!
